Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) is a data recording system designed for all vessels that required to comply with IMO's International Convention SOLAS Requirements to collect data from various sensors on board the vessel.
With its specific characteristics and modular design, Omega’s VDR system can be adapted to individual’s requirements without any difficulty. The modules are linked via ethernet and can be easily exchanged while the ship is in operation by using “plug & play” technology. The modules’ decentralized installation eliminates the necessity for complex cable network, which often affect the quality of the data adversely. Omega’s VDR system is able to record data for up to 100 days.
